Today marks the start of the 4th week of my Lean Eating Coaching Program. So far it has not been to difficult to follow the guideline of the program. Week 1 was upper/lower splits with no nutrition info. The exercises are actually classified as practice sessions. Basic lifts that will be the foundation for later training sessions. I like the idea of introducing the lifts this way, not all participants are experienced lifters so this gives everyone time to practice and feel comfortable with the program. By week 2 we were introduced to some dynamic warm-ups. I start all my training clients with a dynamic warm-up, so I really like this philosophy. Then comes the first nutrition lesson: Multi-Vitamin and Fish Oil. Basic stuff that everyone shoudl be taking. Usana Essentials and Biomega are staples in my supplement routine already! The kicker is that the recommendations for fish oil (when fat loss is the main goal) is 1 gram of fish oil/ % body fat. I am sitting at around 20% so I have to take 20 grams of fish oil. Too many capsules for me so I opted to add in some liquid fish oil. Carlson’s Very Finest Fish Oil guarantees their potency and quality, 2 teaspoons gives me my requirements for the first 4-6 weeks of the program. I am assuming that level is not maintenance but more of a kick start for fat loss. Stay tuned for more updates…on the program and on my progress.
